The Gentle Touch
In 2011 we started out offering our Baby Massage course. We both experienced and enjoyed the benefits within our own families and wanted to share the passion and knowledge we had gained.
Over the years we have grown The Gentle Touch to be so much more than Baby Massage, we’re able to offer you a range of holistic approaches to support you in motherhood.
Meet the team
The Gentle Touch is owned and run by Emma and Anna. We have an expanding team of amazing women who extend our services across Bristol.
Emma offers bespoke antenatal and postnatal support to women. She also teaches baby massage courses.
"I’m a mother of two boys, they have taught me and continue to teach me so much about love, patience and strength" Emma has a long history of coaching and mentoring women. Most recently with The Gentle Touch working with new mothers since 2011. Before The Gentle Touch, Emma spent 20 years training, supervising and mentoring teams of women in her previous jobs and has worked with women of all ages and different walks of life. Emma's desire to set up The Gentle Touch originated in her own experiences as a mother. "There just isn't enough support out there for women postnatally, especially those who are finding things tricky" After experiencing postnatal illness with her second child Emma now has a passion for working with women who are feeling overwhelmed with everything in their life. Emma is an empathic and intuitive listener and draws on her background experiences to help women negotiate the transition to motherhood, gaining balance and confidence in their life. In addition to her baby massage and baby yoga teachings, Emma is currently training as an Holistic Sleep Coach and Antenatal teacher & Postnatal Doula.
Anna is a Nutritional Therapist and offers bespoke advice for the whole family. She also teaches baby massage and baby weaning classes.
"Becoming a mother first time round was a shock, I struggled with the change in lifestyle on maternity leave after a very busy corporate job, I wasn’t sure how I fitted into my new life. I’ve got two daughters and I started learning about Baby Massage with the birth of my second and enjoyed it so much I trained to join Emma in The Gentle Touch.
I’m a Registered Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and love working with people on their diet to help them feel energised, healthy and well. I enjoy working with new parents running our baby classes, everyone we meet teaches us something new and helps develop what we deliver."
Anna has diplomas in both Baby Massage and Baby Yoga; and is a Registered Nutritional Therapist (CNHC) and Registered Nutritionist (BANT).
Therapist - Holistic Massage, Indian Head Massage, Rejuvenating Facial Massage, Reiki and Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Jane is trained in Holistic treatments including Massage and Reiki All treatments can be tailored to your individual requirements or time limitations. Appointments can be made at your home or in a salon treatment room (Park Row, BS8).
Therapist – Pregnancy Massage and Holistic Massage
Lindsay trained at SCMB as a MTI registered Holistic Massage Therapist. She is also our fully qualified Pregnancy Massage specialist. Lindsay offers bespoke treatments specifically tailored to suit your individual needs, drawing from a wide range of techniques from subtle energy work to deep tissue methods, from stretching and mobilisation to gentle holds.

Sara has worked with children and families for 17 years, as a qualified Children’s Nurse in hospitals and also in the community, and most recently as a Family Support Worker in a Children’s Centre.
Sara has supported families and children with emotional and mental health needs, and through this work Sara says "I have seen what a positive difference can be made to emotional wellbeing and family relationships when there is the right support in the first few years of a baby’s life."
Sara is available to us part-time whilst juggling her other work commitments. She has two children and has experienced how challenging parenting can be "I see how important support is in these early days".
